I offer the following resume
on leadership for your consideration to re-elect me to the Tyngsboro
Board of Selectmen.
Elected unanimously by the
Board of Selectmen to be Chairman. I have worked diligently to
unite this Board and together, we have accomplished many positive programs
for this Town. I have mentioned many of these accomplishments already
in this web site.
I believe that the current
Board of Selectmen is the best and most productive Board of all times.
We were named The Lowell Sun's Municipal
Board Of The Year, an honor never before bestowed on any Board!
I served on the Zoning Board of Appeals for 15 years, many of those
years as Chairman. Once again elected by my peers. I enjoyed
very much, the leadership role that I played during very difficult hearings.
I have been a member of the
Tyngsboro Trust Fund Committee for 12 years. We have aided many
residents in Town and have made a major difference in their quality
of life. Together with other community leaders, we play a major role
during Thanksgiving and
Christmas Holidays.
Many years ago, together
with my friend and former Selectman Kevin Coughlin, I started the Tyngsboro
Memorial Avenue Of Flags. The American Flag flies proudly on Tyngsboro's
Roads during major patriotic holidays.
I have been Chairman
of the Memorial Day Committee for Many years. I'm extremely proud
of the Town's patriotic Participation.
I have been the Town's Veteran's
Agent for 21 years. I was recently named The
Top Veteran's Agent in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
An honor bestowed on me by my fellow Veteran's Agents!
I am the recent Past-President
Of The Massachusetts Veterans Service Officers Association, Inc.
I had the pleasure of representing Veteran's Agents at legislative hearings.
I helped shape the delivery of Veterans' services to our Veterans, their
widows and orphans. I was a member of the Governors Veterans Advisory
Board, during this exciting year of service to Veterans!
I am presently the Legislative
Agent for the Massachusetts Veterans' Service Officers Assn., Inc.
My duties include the filing of Veteran's legislation and giving testimony
at the State House. Tyngsboro and Veterans have been well represented
on "The Hill".
I am a Board Member, Selective
Service System for over 15 years. My duties include adapting committee
goals and procedures to current legal guidelines in keeping with the
goal of readiness within 24 hours of Presidential action. This position
is commonly referred to as the Draft Board.
I am proud of the leadership
role that I have played in my adult life. My family background, as well
as high school leadership roles as President Senior Class, Vice-President
Student Council, all shaped who I would be! Integrity certainly
plays a vital role in the selection of a leader. I would not have the
confidence of my peers in the afore mentioned roles, if they did not
consider my integrity to be at the highest level. I have represented
the Town of Tyngsboro in Superior Court, as well as before the ABCC.
I can tell you with Pride, that my testimony on all occasions has been
truthful, believable and without question! My appearances in Court have
always resulted with the Town's position being upheld.
